The strike, which will run indefinitely, will be based on the "lack of appreciation of workers", says a source from the union commission quoted by Angop.
According to an 11-point claim book, HCTA workers demand better working conditions and a 100 percent wage increase.
It is recalled that the minimum wage in the hotel unit is fixed at 22,000 kwanzas (about 44 dollars, at the current rate).
The workers claim that the strike will be in effect until agreement with the employer on the points that appear in the claim book.
The Talatona Convention Hotel has yet to comment on the events.
