Macron goes to Malanje to inaugurate the Higher Institute of Agri-food Techniques

After the confirmation of the French President's visit to Angola at the end of next May, it is now known that Emmanuel Macron will not be left alone in the capital, also visiting the province of Malanje.

:

In order to deepen the cooperation between the two countries in the area of agriculture and training of cadres, the French President will have an agenda that goes beyond political meetings and the meeting with senior cadres and focuses on proximity to the institutions.

Macron returns to Luanda, but is also due to visit Malanje, where he will open the Higher Institute of Agri-food Techniques - the only one in the country - which should promote research and food processing.

In addition to this institute, the province also has the Eiffel school, one of four institutions dedicated to the training of technicians for agriculture, financed by the French oil company Total.

The Castle Group's agricultural farm, producer of Cuca beer, is also located in the province, with an investment of US $ 40 million for the production of corn for the manufacture of beer.

In Luanda, the two delegations are expected to sign agreements to deepen cooperation relations, namely in terms of training young Angolans in areas such as agriculture, said Sylvain Itté, French ambassador to Angola, this Wednesday.

"The visit is being looked forward to, both on the Angolan side and on the French side," said the diplomat.

Angola and France signed, in May 2018, in Paris, four strategic cooperation agreements, within the framework of the official visit of João Lourenço, at the invitation of Macron.
