According to Jornal de Angola, in the province of Luanda, according to a survey carried out in several locations in the province, the typical movement of students dressed in white coats returning to classes can be observed, thus marking the start of the second quarter of the calendar school.
The normal return was confirmed by the director of Escola São José Claver, in Tourada, Esperança Ribeiro, who noted that both students and teachers were present in classes, with only a few teachers absent, mainly for health reasons.
This normality also occurred at Colégio São José de Cluny, said assistant professor Lúcia António.
"Classes started at the usual pace and the presence of students was considerable, the classes are almost full, two or three students were absent for some unforeseen reason", said the teacher, quoted by Jornal de Angola.
The massive presence was also verified in the municipality of Cacuaco.
In Benguela, the director of the BG 1.348-Luiz Gomes Sambo School Complex, Teresinha Ernesto, expressed happiness at the large number of students who were present at the school and teachers, even with the majority being slightly late.
In Cunene, attendance on the first day of classes was also positive, while in Cubango attendance was weaker. According to Jornal de Angola, in the municipality of Menongue, back-to-school day had a high rate of student absences in several primary and secondary schools.
