This reinforcement should come through a training program for doctors from different Portuguese-speaking countries, with emphasis on Angolans. According to the president of CESPU, António Almeida Dias, cited by Jornal Económico, through the Associação Ensinar Saúde Norte in conjunction with the Trofa Saúde Group, a "long program" of specialized training will be launched for doctors from several Portuguese-speaking countries, the largest of which part of Angola.

However, the presence of CESPU on Angolan soil is nothing new. António Almeida Dias said that, over the last two decades, the cooperative has participated in several projects on Angolan soil.

The cooperative "has been involved in multiple projects in Angola, with the aim of creating and disseminating knowledge in various areas, especially in the field of health sciences and technologies", he said, quoted by Jornal Económico.

Noting that the results have been good and that positive ties have been created with "several Angolan institutions", the official said that the intention involves strengthening bilateral cooperation: "As a result of the good results we have obtained and the good relationship created with several institutions Angolans, next year we intend to reinforce collaboration".

He also admitted that higher education in Portugal has contributed to the training of professionals, as well as to the country's progress, writes Jornal Económico.

Furthermore, in Angola – where it has been present since 2004 – CESPU also has several hospital units carrying out specialized postgraduate studies, as well as studying doctoral programs in Portuguese lands.

It should be noted that the Portuguese cooperative is the main shareholder of Projectos Educativos de Angola (PEA), the entity that owns the Instituto Superior Politécnico de Benguela.
