Carnival 2024 leaves Nova Marginal de Luanda closed for almost a month

For almost a month, more specifically between January 24th and February 19th, Avenida Dr. António Agostinho Neto, in Nova Marginal, will be closed. The basis of this ban is the implementation of this year's edition of the Luanda Carnival.

In a statement, to which VerAngola had access, the government of the province of Luanda (GPL) informs that, during the aforementioned period, car traffic on that avenue will be restricted.

"The Provincial Government of Luanda informs the public in general and motorists in particular that car traffic on Avenida Dr. António Agostinho Neto (Nova Marginal) will be restricted, from this Wednesday, 24th of January, until the 19th of February, due to the Luanda Carnival 2024 Edition", the note reads.

Thus, according to GPL, circulation on the Kinanga-Hotel Baía lane will be "completely closed", and, therefore, both directions will be carried out on the Baía-Kinanga side.

The provincial government "regrets the possible constraints", calling on motorists to "scrupulously respect the temporary signage and the guidelines of traffic regulatory agents on site", the statement also reads.
