On the occasion, the President – who was accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço – unveiled the plaque, an act that marked the start of the center.
According to a statement from the Provincial Government of Huambo, to which VerAngola had access, this center, which is equipped with cutting-edge equipment, has the capacity to welcome more than 2400 trainees annually per cycle.
The training offer includes areas such as Metrology, Information and Communication Technologies, among others.
"With a capacity to annually accommodate more than 2400 trainees per cycle, in the areas of Metrology, Information and Communication Technologies, Renewable Energy, Electricity and Mechatronics of Mechanics and Production, the Integrated Professional Training Center will provide young people in Huambo with the promotion of high employment", reads the statement.
This center also has 30 laboratories and 16 workshops.
"The Center has cutting-edge equipment and has 30 laboratories and 16 workshops, thus providing accommodation for 732 trainees in each training period", adds the note.
According to Angop, the project, which concerns a donation from China to the Government of Angola, included an investment of approximately 30 million dollars and aims to provide qualitative technical-professional training, especially for youth.
Among the facilities of this center are also an auditorium with more than 130 seats and a robotics laboratory. An agricultural machinery workshop, multipurpose court, Cisco, Furukawa and Huawei gyms, among other areas, also make up the center, writes Angop.
