Country's first caustic soda factory will be installed in Benguela

The country's first caustic soda and calcium hypochlorite factory will be installed in the province of Benguela, which will benefit from financing estimated at more than 24 million euros. The project is expected to provide around 32 direct jobs.

According to the newspaper Opaís, the Salinas Calombolo and Alexandre's House projects see their transfer contracts, part of the Deustche Bank credit line, being signed this Monday at the facilities of the Banco de Desenvolvimento de Angola (BDA).

In this sense, the Salinas Calombolo project, with financing of 24,831,412.76 euros, should install, in Benguela, the aforementioned factory, which will help improve public health, health and industry, especially with regard to the procedure for treating water and surface sterilization.

In terms of jobs, this initiative should provide around 32 direct jobs.

According to the project's promoters, cited by Opaís, Salinas Calombolo "constitutes industrial advances and a tangible commitment to sustainable economic growth and the generation of significant jobs for the Angolan population".

In turn, for the Alexandre's House project the financing is valued at 47,075,072.90 euros. Focused on supplying and setting up a warehouse to receive, freeze and process fish in Baía Farta, this project is expected to generate around 203 direct jobs.
