This is the Dundo Field Hospital which, according to Angop, is capable of accommodating 200 patients and whose installation took place in 2021, on the outskirts of Mussungue Centrality, to be used for the hospitalization and treatment of patients with Covid-19.

Among the facilities of the hospital unit, obtained by the State to respond to pandemics, there are 24 spaces for hospitalization and intensive care. Furthermore, the hospital also has a laboratory, an X-ray area, among other types of services.

According to the governor of the province of Lunda Norte, Deolinda Satula Vilarinho – who, this Tuesday (23 January), carried out an inspection visit to the field hospital, the diagnostic center and the medicine deposit – the unit "is doing well preserved and ready to deal with possible cases of cholera or any pandemic".

The government will work with the ministry with the aim of increasing adequate medicines, as well as the number of beds in the hospital unit, said the governor who, cited by Angop, also reported on the creation of specific rooms in reference hospital units in all the municipalities.

She also made it known that government authorities are working to install software on the instruments at the Dundo diagnostic center, in order to make it possible to test for cholera, among others.
