Dinis Segunda Lucama is the new Chief of Staff of the Army

Lieutenant General Dinis Segunda Lucama is the new Chief of Staff of the Army of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA). The person responsible was appointed by the President of the Republic, who, on Thursday, made adjustments to the armed and police forces, through dismissals, appointments, promotions and retirement of officers.

The list of nominees, in addition to lieutenant general Dinis Segunda Lucama, also includes names such as lieutenant generals António José Neto and Remígio do Espírito Santo, who now serve as commander of the North Military Region and commander of the Southeast Military Region, respectively.

Regarding commission officers of the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), according to Angop, João Lourenço's appointments include criminal investigation commissioners José Carlos de Barros Gomes (director of identification and registration at SIC), Rufino Mário Zangui as director of combating drug trafficking, as well as Armando Domingos Capapa Agostinho as director of combating financial and tax fraud crimes.

Commissioners David da Silva Cabaça (commander of the Personal Security and Protocol Entities Police), as well as Mateus André for the position of delegate of the Ministry of the Interior and provincial commander of the National Police in Lunda-Sul, are also among those nominated.

They are also joined by José Fernandes and Adulcínio Isaac Sandolina da Silva Lutucuta for the positions of delegate of the Ministry of the Interior and provincial commander of the National Police in Kwanza-Norte and director of the Integrated Public Security Center of the Ministry of the Interior, respectively.

Among the changes, according to Angop, it is worth highlighting the fact that the main fire commissioner Bensau Mateus was dismissed from his duties as commander of the Civil Protection and Fire Service of the Ministry of the Interior, whose appointment took place by means of a presidential decree dated of August 30th.

Regarding retirement, the following names stand out: deputy commissioner of criminal investigation Maria Helena dos Santos; chief commissioners Elizabeth Maria Ramos Franque, António Maria Sita, Mário Augusto de Oliveira Santos, Alfredo Quintino Lourenço, Eduardo Fernando Cerqueira and António Vicente Gimbe; commissioners João Elias de Sousa, Rogério Fangana Muagina, Alberto Lisboa Mário, Filipe Barros Espanhol, Luís Manuel António and Pedro André Quiambi; deputy commissioners Rafael Mingas Vumbi, Nito Domingos Joaquim Manuel, Domingos Jerónimo, Sebastião Xavier Neto and Augusto António Chiwawa.
