According to Vítor Rodrigues, CEO and spokesperson for Innovation Makers – the company responsible for the initiative, in partnership with EMIS and commercial banks, which is under notice no. 18/2022 of the National Bank of Angola, which imposes the obligation banking entities to make financial products and services available in all municipalities, for example, through a service location – the company already has around 200 machines of this type installed in Angola, a number that it expects to double during this year.

Vítor Rodrigues explained, in statements to Angop, that the installation of the machines will be carried out in containerized mobile agencies, which can perform the functions of ATM Centers, and these agencies are already available, with some already operating.

According to Innovation Makers, in a Facebook post, these centers, 100 percent produced in the country, are the result of "the transformation of cargo containers into high security banking points".

"Built with high quality materials, favoring Angolan and sustainable raw materials, these centers are easy to transport and install", the company's note also states.

According to Vítor Rodrigues, the aforementioned containers could become an ATM Center, embracing the model of a banking agent or service point, being equipped with an ATM, deposit and payment machines, meeting room, among others.

Among the advantages of this type of solutions, the CEO and spokesperson of Innovation Makers mentioned, cited by Angop, the fact that it is easy to install and transport and also the high degree of security, aspects that contribute to the expansion of the banking network in isolated areas of Angola, in addition to the investment being lower than usual spaces.

Furthermore, the person in charge also made it known that they are testing the EMIS service relating to mobile payments, via QR Code on automatic payment terminals (TPA), the solution of which will be introduced into the company's services in the first three months of this year, available in all TPAs in Angola.

According to Vítor Rodrigues, "this innovative solution on the market makes payments faster, by allowing holders of the Multicaixa Express application to make payments via QR Code, via their cell phone, interacting with the merchant's TPA".

According to the person responsible, making this type of service available could contribute to reducing flooding in banking entities.

Also among the new features for this year, the company plans to launch services that allow the automation of various banking processes, using authentication and biometric identification, as well as artificial intelligence, writes Angop.
