BNI increases share capital to 45 billion kwanzas

Banco de Negócios Internacional (BNI) increased its share capital to 45 billion kwanzas to comply with regulatory requirements regarding capital ratios, it was announced this Friday.

In a note, the bank highlights that the decision was taken at an extraordinary general meeting held on December 28th, with shareholders subscribing and paying 8.5 billion kwanzas for the capital increase.

According to BNI, the increase aimed to enable the bank to face the development of its activity with greater solidity and meet the requirements arising from the regulatory framework within the scope of compliance with capital ratios.

In the note, BNI emphasizes that it intends to meet the needs of its customers, both in terms of quality of service, the variety of products and technological solutions they provide.

"The capital increase now decided allows us to move in this direction and be in perfect alignment with the regulator's instructions", the document highlights.

Having been in operation for 17 years, this bank says it is "committed to facing new challenges in a sustained manner, remaining one of the most efficient financial players in the Angolan market".
