Air navigation company guarantees to respond to workers' demands after the end of the strike

The president of the National Air Navigation Company (ENNA) said this Wednesday that the claims of workers in the sector will be met, who this Wednesday started a strike, which was in the meantime suspended due to negotiations between the parties.

Manuel Júnior, who was speaking to Rádio Nacional de Angola, said that at the moment, within the scope of the agreement established between the parties, five fundamental aspects are being considered.

"The first is related to medical assistance and medication, the process of which has now been completed. Workers will once again benefit from the insurance card", said the chairman of ENNA's board of directors.

According to the president of ENNA, with regard to working conditions, communications have also been improved.

"We are interconnecting all locations via fiber optics. We are replacing analogue radios with digital ones, even to improve working conditions. We have obtained some vehicles to support the technical area and also for mobility in movement areas. ", he underlined.

With regard to training, Manuel Júnior guaranteed that this plan will be updated, to continue the work this year, the same happening for remuneration.

ENNA's president highlighted that, from the first day on which the company's management was notified, measures were taken in order to start negotiations immediately.

"It is evident that this negotiation, as referred to in the Strike Law, began with prior work by the supervisory body. The Minister of Transport called ENNA and the social partners to find a balanced solution on this issue", he said. .

The National Independent Union of Aeronautical and Airport Workers (SNITAA) had announced for this Wednesday the start of an indefinite strike, to demand improvement in working and social conditions.
