According to Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), in the capital, teachers and students had a massive presence in schools.

Francisco João, who teaches at school 1139, took the opportunity to mention the teachers' strike, hoping that the reasons that led to the stoppage will be overcome: "I hope that the employers resolve our concerns as soon as possible", he said, quoted by RNA.

Student Adilson Panguila also highlighted the teachers' strike, considering that returning to "school is a good thing" and that the strike "was difficult".

"For me the return to school is a good thing, the strike was difficult for the teachers, we managed to overcome it and I tell those students who don't know that classes are starting again to get out of bed and come to school", he said, in statements to RNA.

At school 1135, advances RNA, the students were present quite early. According to the director of the establishment, speaking to RNA, the activities started at 08:00 am: "We started at 08:00 am, we did the morning, the hymn was sung, that previous conversation with the children and now they are in the classroom, the teachers are all gifts," he said.

According to RNA, massive participation was also seen in the provinces of Benguela and Huambo.

It should be noted that the second quarter of the academic year started this Tuesday, after the break for the Christmas and New Year festivities.
