Schools ready to start the second quarter of the academic year this Tuesday

The country's schools are ready for the start of the second quarter of the current academic year (2022/2023), scheduled for this Tuesday, January 3rd.

According to a note from the Ministry of Education, to which VerAngola had access, after the break for the festive season, "the provincial directors, in a virtual meeting, assured the Acting Minister and Secretary of State for Pre-School Education and Primary Education, Pacheco Francisco, that the schools have everything organized to restart classes on the 3rd of January".

Pacheco Francisco, the note said, left guidelines for the "scrupulous" compliance with the 2022/2023 school calendar and asked for the "involvement of all stakeholders for the normal functioning of schools and success in student learning".

On his turn, Lourenço Neto, director of the Office of the Minister of Education, referred that the teachers return to the school for previous planning, emphasizing that the classes effectively start this Tuesday.

"The teachers return to the school to plan, define pedagogical strategies naturally that will mark the next days, the next weeks of the second academic quarter. Now, effective classes will be from the 3rd of January, therefore, Tuesday", he indicated, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), adding that "students, teachers, those responsible at different levels of the educational chain must be in schools for the effective return of classes in the second quarter of the 2022/2023 academic year".
