According to the National Electricity Distribution Company (ENDE), in a note sent this Monday to Lusa, the fire took place on Sunday around 3:00 pm and "the real causes are unknown so far".
ENDE admits that "a presumed short circuit" may be at the root of the fire that consumed a large part of the aforementioned substation with a power of 20 MVA.
The Angolan public company also appeals for maximum understanding of the possible inconvenience resulting from this incident and informs that technical teams are already working to restore the normal supply of electricity to the affected families, as soon as possible.
