Luisa Grilo, Minister of Education, admitted that the supply of cell phones and computers, through the memo, will allow to boost distance learning.
The equipment will also facilitate the realization of practical internships for students of professional technical education and "allow elementary school students to have access to information technologies," she said, quoted by Angop.
The holder of the Education folder made a visit, this Thursday, to the Afrione brand cell phone factory installed in the Special Economic Zone of Km 30, in Viana, to verify the capacity and quality of products manufactured in that unit.
The factory was inaugurated in October last year, having, in an initial phase, the capacity to produce about 3000 cell phones per year.
