China offers 40 scholarships to angolan students

The Chinese government is offering 40 scholarships to Angolan students who want to take a bachelor's, master's or doctorate from the most diverse universities in that country. The scholarship will be full, i.e. students will have tuition, accommodation and health insurance paid, as well as receive a monthly amount to cover their daily expenses.

"The National Institute of Scholarship Management (INAGBE), hereby makes public that under the Cooperation Agreements, the Government of the People's Republic of China has made available 40 full scholarships, for Angolan students in the academic year 2021/2022", can be read on the INAGBE website.

However, INAGBE, which is responsible for receiving applications from Angolan students, did not reveal the value of the scholarships.

Students interested in applying may apply on the INAGBE website until 14 February. However, according to the institute, they must fulfill some requirements: be of Angolan nationality, live in Angola, "be no older than 22 years old to attend degree courses, 35 years old to attend master's courses and 45 years old to attend doctoral courses" and must have a "minimum average of 14 values in the previous training cycle.

The scholarships will be distributed by training levels. According to the institute, of the 40 scholarships, 12 will be for undergraduate degrees in the areas of Agricultural Sciences, Computer and Information Technology, Health Sciences, Sports Sciences, Natural Sciences, Arts and Artistic Education.

The remaining 28 scholarships are for master's and doctoral degrees in the areas of Medical and Health Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Computer Science and Information Technology, Economic Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Sports Sciences, Natural Sciences and Arts.

To apply for degree courses, students must present a photocopy of their identity card and a certificate of education with detailed grades of the II Cycle of Secondary Education.

For masters and doctorates, students will also have to send a "photocopy of the identity card and documents proving the conclusion of a degree or master's degree duly homologated by the National Institute of Evaluation, Accreditation and Recognition of Higher Education Studies".
