This Tuesday, the 5th of January, the 1.º de Agosto will play against Kaizer Chiefs (South Africa). The match will take place at the 11th of November Stadium, Luanda, at 4pm.
In the first leg, which took place in Johannesburg, the two teams tied (0-0). After all, only the victory will guarantee the presence of the Angolans, for the second consecutive year, in the group stage. In case of a draw with goals, the South Africans will be favored. In case the game results in a null tie, the two teams will have to dispute the place with the marking of great penalties, writes Angop.
Although Angola closed their doors to South Africa due to covid-19, the national health authorities decided to make an exception and allowed the South African team to enter the game.
Petro de Luanda will face Nkana FC (Zambia) on Wednesday, January 6. The match will also take place at the 11 de Novembro Stadium.
Petro de Luanda have a looser result: after having drawn one ball to one in the first leg, all it takes is a null draw to qualify.
In the 2019/2020 edition, the 1.º de Agosto and Petro de Luanda could not pass beyond the first phase.
