Girabola officially returned to the lawns on Saturday

After nine months of inactivity, due to the covid-19, Girabola officially returned to the lawns. The kick-off took place on Saturday, December 26, with the official game between the Académica of Lobito and Sagrada Esperança.

In the opening match, the Académica of Lobito and Sagrada Esperança tied for a goal.

According to Angop, in the game, which took place in the National Stadium of Ombaka, Benguela, the scorer was inaugurated by Sagrada Esperança, with Pedro scoring in the 23rd minute.

In the second half, the Academica of Lobito managed to match the scorer, with a goal by Adó Pena, in the 69th minute.

On Saturday, two other games were scheduled to take place (Progresso do Sambizanga - Recreativo do Libolo and Sporting de Cabinda - Desportivo da Huíla), but were postponed, with no dates scheduled.

On Sunday, December 27, it was the turn of the Ferrovia do Huambo to confront Cuando Cubango. The two teams also tied with a goal.

The Recreativo da Caála also entered the pitch this weekend: the team ended up winning, by four balls to zero, the Baixa do Cassange.

Still on Sunday, Wiliete de Benguela tied against Santa Rita do Uíge (1-1).

The games continue this Monday, with Petro de Luanda facing FC Bravos do Maquis. On Tuesday it will be the turn of the 1.º de Agosto to take the field, in a match against Interclube.
