According to the decision, expressed in an executive decree of the Ministry of the Interior, dated January 5, the extension of the period of validity concerns residence permit documents, refugee card, work investor visa, temporary stay and study.
Foreigners who have entered Angola with a short stay visa (tourism, short term and border visas) are also included in the measure. That is, according to the decree, cited by Angop, the documents of short stay expired from February 28 of last year are now valid until February 28 of this year.
The decree also states that the authorities should not fine those with expired residence permits or visas.
Due to the exceptional and temporary measures, decreed in December last year, several foreigners were detained in the country. However, citizens who find themselves in such situations must leave the country voluntarily as soon as conditions are met.
