The most recent case is that of a girl, a year and a half, who disappeared last Friday, in the Salinas neighborhood, Benfica's urban district, while playing outside her house with other children.
According to Nestor Goubel, who spoke in statements to Public Television, the child is already with his family after being released Tuesday by alleged abductors on the street where he lives.
Nestor Goubel said that efforts are being made to clarify the case, stressing that the happy ending was due to pressure from the media, police and social media groups.
"The prevaricators felt the pressure, which made them leave the girl here on the street, but call on families to redouble their care," said the Luanda Police spokesman.
