The contest will run for six months and, according to the Minister of Tourism, Ângela Bragança, it was "designed with the purpose of promoting technology-based entrepreneurship, showing how innovation and technology can create new opportunities to generate income and jobs," reads the statement.
In her speech, during the opening session that took place in the VIP room of Cinemax do Belas Shopping, the minister revealed that "young people are hoping to take responsibility for this challenge and present startups with objective and prospective projects, based on different subjects about Tourism". "Startups should have a future, that is, have expression and development as a source of income and employment", she added.
The CEO of Platinaline, Sarchek Necésio, considered that this initiative will help tourism in the country: "We want to help in the development and growth of projects that have to do with the experience of travel, tourism and environmental impact. There are many young people with innovative ideas and we want companies to buy these projects to implement and improve the experience with their clients".
The finalists and awards ceremony will take place in September this year.
