Between 12 and 18 January, Luanda will host the african qualification competitions for the 2020 Olympic Games for sailing. Besides the qualification competitions, Luanda will also be the stage for the African Sailing Championship.
In the qualifying races will be present in the national teams of Angola, Mozambique and South Africa. Race officials and international juries from South Africa, Mozambique, Tunisia, Portugal, Turkey, Italy and Israel will also be present at the races, revealed the Angolan Water Sports Federation (FADEN) in a statement, quoted by Angop.
According to the document, Angola has a good chance of qualifying in the races and therebefore representing the country in the Olympic Games, which will take place this year in Tokyo.
