Former Angolan footballer nominated for best player in Africa

This Tuesday evening, the African Football Confederation (CAF) will announce who the best players in Africa for 2019 are. Among the names who will compete for the award is Flavio Amado, a former Angolan player.

In the 28th edition of the gala for the election of best football player of Africa 2019, which takes place this Tuesday night in Egypt, are also nominated, besides the former Angolan football player, Mohamed Salah (Egypt) and Sadio Mané (Algeria) - both play for Liverpool - and Riayd Mahrez (Senegal), who plays for Manchester City.

Flávio Amado graduated from Petro de Luanda and played for Al Ahly in Egypt. The player stood out for winning the African Champions League in 2005 and also for the fact that in 2006, in the World Cup in Germany, he was the player who scored Angola's only goal in the competition.

In the previous edition, the award was given to Mohamed Salah.
