Bolsonaro applauds measures to fight corruption in Angola and encourages country to continue

Jair Bolsonaro, president of Brazil, applauded the measures adopted by João Lourenço's government to combat corruption in the country, encouraging Angola to continue the work done so far. The brazilian president also left an assurance that Brazil is willing to help Angola in this matter.

"The fight against corruption is also the flag of my consulate and Angola is doing it very well. And in this crusade, Brazil is willing to collaborate," the brazilian president said to the press at Luanda airport, where he was making a stopover during his trip to India.

Bolsonaro applauded the changes the country has implemented, specifically to fight corruption and impunity, encouraging the authorities to continue to apply these same measures.

The brazilian president also considered Angola "a brother country" and said he was very happy to be passing through Luanda.

In his brief visit, Bolsonaro was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Manuel Augusto, and made clear his willingness to visit Angola officially: "It is a great pleasure to be here and I have already expressed my wish to Minister Manuel Augusto to return to Angola on an official visit.
