PRA-JA installation commission says party will be a reality this year

The installation commission for Partido do Renascimento Angolano - Juntos por Angola Servir Angola urged its supporters and supporters on Friday to "keep faith that by 2020 PRA-JA Serving Angola will be a positive reality in national political life".

:

The message of hope is contained in a Luanda Declaration, issued at the end of a meeting held Friday, aimed at outlining strategies that will lead political action to the effective legalization of Abel Chivukuvuku's new political project.

At issue is the refusal by the Constitutional Court of the majority of the 23,492 declarations of acceptance, which the installation commission submitted to that justice body, in the context of the legalization process of PRA-JA Servir Angola, for alleged nonconformities.

In the statement, the commission set up by the party's general coordinator, Abel Chivukuvuku, again accused Constitutional Court presiding judge Manuel Aragão of “using and pursuing his political motives” when he had “the boldness and displacing the free and sovereign will of 19,450 citizens”, creating a wave of national indignation (…)”.

“In the name of the national purpose and the pursuit of the establishment in Angola of the democratic state and the rule of law, we strongly denounce the undemocratic, illegal and unfair attitude of the chief counselor of the Constitutional Court”, says the statement.

The members of the installation commission, who participated in the meeting, expressed their solidarity with “all the firm, positive and patriotic positions made public by the general coordinator of PRA-JA Servir Angola”.

“We thank him for the positions of moderation and serenity shown in this period. It is becoming increasingly factual that true democracy, freedom and justice will have to be conquered and played by all Angolans. As in the past, we are ready”, the document points out.

Speaking to the press, the commission coordinator, Xavier Jaime, stressed that all actions trigger “always a reaction”, underlining the “very large capacity of the commission coordinator general to contain people's spirits”.

“Action always triggers a reaction and will have a proper reaction. This is one of the ways (resorting to international instances), and this possibility will certainly be followed”, he said.

Xavier Jaime said that the finding is that in fact the presiding judge of the Constitutional Court, “motivated by personal political interests, has been guided by something that seriously damages not only interests as citizens (…), but his image and his own country”.

According to the coordinator of the installation committee, following the December order of the Judge President of the Constitutional Court, the committee requested that the case be returned or if a joint verification was refused.

"By denying one of these two requests, of course, he is showing us that there is something hidden there, that he does not want to uncover and that severely hurts the image of the country, because the Constitutional Court that is the guarantor of constitutionality has to be transparent", stated.

For Xavier Jaime, the presiding judge of the Constitutional Court “has to be able to undress these partisan political influences. "What you are demonstrating to us is that you have not made the least effort to separate situations", said the commission coordinator, ensuring that the party body already has enough declarations of acceptance to cover the alleged failings alleged by the court. .

“If we do not deliver until today, it is because we need to hear the point of view of all of us and also of society, the problem is not numbers. I believe that with this stance even if we had delivered a million statements of acceptance, the presiding judge would have absolutely no objection to nullifying 990,000”, said Xavier Jaime.
