With three lines and a treatment capacity of six tons of concentrate per hour, this new plant renews the hope of increasing diamond production in terms of both quantity and quality.
The consideration comes from Reinaldo Trindade, president of the company's Board of Directors (PCA), who stated that with the installation of this infrastructure, "a very promising horizon" can be seen.
"With this installation, we see a very promising horizon so that, in the near future, we can increase our production capacity to 15 thousand carats per month", he said, quoted in a statement from Endiama, to which VerAngola had access.
The person in charge also considered the company as a "nursery of professionals" who will be able to guarantee the "future of the diamond industry in the country".
On the occasion, the company's PCA also mentioned "social responsibility projects, which aim to support surrounding communities, and environmental ones, to reduce the impact resulting from mining activity, as well as the current number of jobs that the mine has guaranteed to young people in the region", the note reads.
It should be noted that the inauguration ceremony of the company's new selection center, which took place this Tuesday (23 April) in the province of Lunda Norte, was attended by the members of Endiama's Board of Directors, as well as "entities holding public positions at provincial level and traditional authorities".
"With a concession area of 444 square kilometers, the secondary deposit (alluvium) has a 33 percent stake held by Somiluana and 67 percent held by Endiama - E.P.", the statement also states.
