The score of the match, which was played at the Estádio 11 de Novembro, in Luanda, was opened by Lesotho in the 43rd minute, with a goal from Hlompho Kalake, from a penalty kick.

The game went into half-time with Lesotho leading by a goal to zero.

In the second half, the score remained unchanged. Both Angola and Lesotho failed to break through, and the match ended with the score 1-0, thus dictating the team's defeat.

However, despite the defeat, the Palancas Negras secured their ticket to CHAN 2025, after winning the first game (2-0), played on December 21st.

Regarding qualification, national coach Pedro Gonçalves, using social media, expressed pride in the team.

"Proud of the boys for their work and qualifying for the final phase of CHAN 2025," he wrote on his Facebook page.

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Rui Falcão, also did not let this achievement go unnoticed, having considered the classification as a milestone that highlights the quality of the young people who play in the national championship.

The minister, in a statement cited by Angop, highlights that the country proudly celebrates its fifth CHAN qualification, which reinforces the fact that it is necessary to continue with investments to improve competition internally.

According to the holder of the Youth and Sports portfolio, confirmation of participation in the competition renews the commitment to robust and efficient preparation, aiming for an honorable representation of the country in this competition, in which Angola already obtained the title of runner-up in 2011, in the Sudan.
