Despite not having revealed the exact value of the funds allocated to this event, Rui Falcão said that the funds are guaranteed through the General State Budget (OGE), as part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of national independence, which is celebrated on the 11th of November 2025.

The holder of the Youth and Sports portfolio, in statements to the press, also said that Angola has been working for some time to hold a successful event, both in terms of organization and sporting results, with infrastructure for the event.

Quoted in a statement from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, to which VerAngola had access, the official highlighted the "importance of the African Youth Games as an opportunity for Angola to demonstrate its organizational capacity and to reinforce national sports infrastructures, positioning the country as a strategic center for African sport".

In the view of the holder of the Youth and Sports portfolio, the country's election to host this event is due to the country's good sports diplomacy on the African continent, as well as the dedication of Angolans to the progress of sport and the results obtained internationally.

Before hosting the youth games, he recalled that Angola will be the stage for other continental competitions, which will be tests for the athletes, who will use the same venues, with the aim of a dignified representation.

According to the guardianship's statement, the agreement was signed by Rui Falcão, by Mustapha Berraf, president of the Association of African National Olympic Committees (ACNOA) and by Gustavo da Conceição, president of the Angolan Olympic Committee (COA).

In addition to Rui Falcão, the signers of this document also expressed confidence in the success of the event, which will represent "a milestone for youth sport in Africa and for Angola's image on the international stage".

The agreement signing ceremony, "which marked a moment of great symbolism, reaffirms Angola's commitment to leading the organization of a sporting event of great relevance to the African continent", says the note.

Scheduled for next year, these games will bring together "young talents from various African nations, promoting not only sport, but also integration, cultural exchange and unity between countries on the continent."
