The team entered the scene this Tuesday just to meet the schedule, as it was already classified for the next phase of the competition, which takes place in Kinshasa, DRC.
However, the previous classification did not make the team careless in this last game. It was up to the 'Pérolas' to open the scoring in the match against DRC, which went into half-time with Angola winning 21-9.
The second half was no different, with Angola maintaining an advantage on the scoreboard, with the national team winning 40-15.
According to the Angolan Handball Federation, in a statement that VerAngola had access to, in this Tuesday's game with DRC, Angolan Albertina Cassoma was considered the most valuable player in the match.
"It was an incredible night for the senior women's national team and, in particular, for our captain Albertina Cassoma, who received the MVP trophy for Angola's victory over the Democratic Republic of Congo, 40-15, on the last day of the tournament phase groups", says the note.
With this victory, Angola made it big: in five games they recorded five victories, qualifying for the next stage without any defeats.
This result allowed Angola to score a total of 10 points in this phase, ending up occupying first place in its group (group B), followed by Cameroon (eight points), DRC (six points), Tunisia (three points), Guinea ( three points) and Uganda (zero points).
