On the occasion, the Minister of Justice and Human Rights, representing the Commission for the Assessment of Nationality Assignment Processes (CAPAN), "welcomed the new citizens", encouraging them to integrate "fully into Angolan society".

In statements made during the ceremony, cited in a press release from the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights to which VerAngola had access, the minister highlighted the significance of obtaining nationality "as a mutual commitment between the new citizens and the Angolan nation".

Marcy Lopes also considered that "becoming an Angolan citizen is being part of a diverse nation, rich in culture and history", hoping that each of the new citizens "contributes to the development of the country and feels truly at home".

"Today we celebrate not only the formalization of a right, but also the construction of a new relationship between you and Angola. Becoming an Angolan citizen means being part of a diverse nation, rich in culture and history. I hope that each of you contributes to the development of the country and feels truly at home," said the minister.

On the occasion, the minister also stressed that the State is "committed to promoting an inclusive society, in which all citizens, regardless of their origin, have the same rights and duties," the note reads.

According to Marcy Lopes, diversity represents "one of the greatest assets of any nation", and the knowledge and experiences of new citizens enrich the country.

The minister also welcomed the new national citizens: "Diversity is one of the greatest assets of any nation, and your knowledge and experiences enrich our country. Feel welcome and ready to join forces in building an increasingly better Angola."

The new Angolan citizens, showing their satisfaction with the completion of the naturalization process, said "they are ready to continue contributing to the development of Angola", the statement also states.
