The challenge aims to increase soil fertility and guarantee the growth of the country's agricultural production, said the person responsible, cited by Angop.
Speaking after the visit that the governor of Cuanza Sul, Mara Quiosa, made to the factory, Carmen Salvador also made it known that the manufacturing unit is capable of producing around 16,000 tons of crushed gypsum per month, 120 tons per month of gypsum and 20,000 monthly tons of raw gypsum.
The person responsible, quoted in a statement from the Sumbe municipal administration to which VerAngola had access, also informed that the factory "has existed in Sumbe for 18 years", being divided into "three areas to highlight: an extraction, production and crushing area, with a production capacity of 120 tons of calcined gypsum per month and a workforce of 59 workers".
Mara Quiosa, after the "field trip that served to strengthen relations with the managers of that manufacturing unit, was satisfied with what she saw and heard in the field and guaranteed to continue working with the local business class in order to attract more investors to guarantee the employability of youth", points out the statement.
According to the provincial governor, the production of limestone will help, in a certain way, to increase the country's production, due to soil correction.
On her visit, held this Wednesday, Mara Quiosa was accompanied by the deputy municipal administrator for the Technical Area and Infrastructures, Rui Osório.
According to Angop, Super Gesso products are supplied to the Cuanza Sul Cement Factory, Nova Cimangola (Luanda), orthopedic centers and other hospital institutions, as well as the Agri Mumba and Cambondo farms, among others.
