National Bank of Angola provides over 150 million dollars to the national market

The National Bank of Angola (BNA) will make an additional 150 million dollars available to the market, of which more than half will be used to finance rice imports and the remainder for private operations.

According to a statement published on the central bank's website, the sale of currency ends this Tuesday and 88 million dollars will be allocated to cover operations associated with the import of rice.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced in April that Angola would import 270 thousand tons of rice by 2024.

Another R$60 million is allocated to cover operations involving individuals pending settlement with commercial banks.

There remain two million dollars whose destination is not mentioned.
