The project, which was financed by the Bloco 15 Association in an investment of 250 thousand dollars, will welcome children between the ages of six and 12, says a statement sent to VerAngola.
"Increasing access to education and inclusion for more than 700 children in the province of Namibe with the construction of this primary school that has seven classrooms is the objective of this project, implemented together with Rise Angola, in a record period of five months", reads the statement.
"Supporting education, especially for disadvantaged children, is a purpose as noble as it is necessary to aim for a more sustained development of our economy and society", considered, at the time, Paulino Jerónimo, president of the Board of Directors of ANPG.
Quoted in the note, the person in charge added: "The construction and provision of infrastructure like this in all provinces of Angola is something that excites us, the national concessionaire, and the operators of the oil blocks."
In turn, Katrina Fisher, general director of ExxonMobil Angola, considered that "one of the most effective ways for young people to have the opportunity to develop their potential and make their dreams come true is through access to quality primary education".
"The school we opened today and the Atardino Teixeira Training Center here in Namibe are recent examples of our commitment to the education and professional training of children and young people who represent the future of any nation", said Katrina Fisher, quoted in the statement.
It should be noted that the Block 15 contractor group is made up of the operator ExxonMobil (36 percent), as well as Azule Energy Expl (ANG) Ltd (24 percent), Azule Energy Angola B.V (18 percent), Equinor Angola (12 percent) and Sonangol P&P (10 percent).
