Petro draws but remains leader of group C of the African League

Petro de Luanda, under the command of Portuguese coach Alexandre Santos, drew this Saturday against Espérance de Tunis 0-0, at the latter's ground, and remains leader of Group C of the African Football League, with seven points.

The two-time Angolan champions will play again on December 19th, in Luanda, against the same opponent, who is second in the group, with four points, in the fourth round.

In the other game in the same group, Étoile Sahel, who is third, with three, beat Al Hilal Ondurman, last, with three, by 1-0, with a goal from Jacques Mbé, in the 88th minute, and in the next round they will face same opponent, on the ground of the Sudanese.

Académica do Lobito suffers third defeat in the African Football Confederation

Also in international competition, but in the African Confederation Cup, Académica do Lobito lost again - for the third time - this time against Welsh side Dreams FC, 3-2.

In a match on the third round of Group C of the competition, held in Luanda, the Angolans conceded three goals, scored by Isah, in the 11th minute, Antwi, in the 58th minute, and Avocevou, in the 88th minute, having scored just two, by Nelo, in the 13th minute, and Samuel, at 90+5.

With this defeat, Académica do Lobito remains in the last position of the group, without any points, while Dreams FC is third, with six, with Club Africain, from Tunisia, being the leader, also with six, the same points than Rivers United, from Nigeria, in second place.

In the next round, on the 20th of this month, the Angolan team will travel to Ghana, where they will face the same opponent, in search of their first victory.
