"It was with deep pain and dismay that we learned of the death of Ambassador Assunção Afonso de Sousa dos Anjos", says the note issued this Monday, signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António.
At the age of 76, Assunção dos Anjos was ambassador to France, Spain and Portugal.
The same communiqué stresses that the ex-governor "was a born diplomat, who served the country with pride and dedication as an extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Angola in France, Spain and Portugal".
"In this moment of pain and mourning, I address, on behalf of the board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other officials to the bereaved family, my deepest feelings of regret", reacted Téte António.
