National industry on the list of priorities for the tutelage for next year

The national industry is among the Ministry's list of priorities for 2023, with the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Victor Fernandes, indicating the development of the manufacturing industry and the branch of commerce as one of the main priorities for next year.

The holder of the Industry and Commerce portfolio – speaking on the sidelines of the end-of-year greetings ceremony for the ministry – said, quoted by Angop, that these domains showed degrees of growth this year.

For next year, he added, the goal will be to encourage the non-oil manufacturing industry, with a view to stimulating employment and improving participation in the country's wealth creation.

Cited by Angop, the official also referred that after several years, the country registered this year a growing path of the national economy.

He also considered having "the food processing industry at the top priority". "We have the food processing industry as our top priority and we guarantee a business environment capable of attracting investment and that encourages businessmen to assume responsibility for job creation," he said, quoted by Angop.

According to Victor Fernandes, the food processing industry has also grown, a sign that the non-oil sector is developing, characterizing itself as the ideal path for the evolution of a country, writes Angop.

He also took the opportunity to highlight the obtaining of the Commercial Permit from the municipalities without having to go to the Ministry's headquarters, reflecting the ease of commercial activity.

According to Angop, regarding the country's export balance outside the oil field, the minister classified it as a deficit, despite the increase in national production, mainly with regard to food goods.

Addressing workers and supervisory bodies, the holder of the Industry and Commerce portfolio thanked him for another year and asked for greater involvement in achieving economic growth and diversification in the country.
