According to the Municipal Health Director of Viana, Abreu Pecamena, who did not advance numbers, this situation has been happening in recent days, pointing out that the patients turn off their phones or change neighborhood when they discover they are infected by the new coronavirus.

"We are worried, because we have had caricatured episodes, which is why we have redoubled our way of acting, with the operation of 35 brigades, for the follow-up and monitoring of the cases of covid-19," said the responsible, in statements to the Angolan public radio.

Abreu Pecamena said that most of the units and health centers in the municipality are testing the new coronavirus.

Angola has so far registered 16,188 positive cases of covid-19 and 371 deaths, with 8898 patients considered recovered.

The covid-19 pandemic has caused at least 1,605,583 deaths resulting from more than 71.6 million cases of infection worldwide, according to a balance made by the French agency AFP.

The disease is transmitted by a new coronavirus detected at the end of December 2019 in Wuhan, a city in central China.
