Sports competitions suspended due to the increase in cases of covid-19

Sporting competitions have been suspended in Angola since Friday, due to the growing number of cases of infection by the coronavirus responsible for the covid-19 pandemic, the government announced.

The information was provided by the Minister of State and Head of the House of Security of the President of the Republic, Francisco Pereira Furtado.

The exceptional and temporary measures will be in force until January 15, 2022, when the national football championship should be resumed.
