Registration center for people missing in political conflicts closes this Friday

The registration center for people who disappeared in political conflicts that took place in the country from 11 November 1975 to 4 April 2002, installed in the Arena Multiuso do Kilamba, will definitively close this Friday, 31 December.

In a note made available on its Facebook, the Government states that "applications for death certificates will only be made with civil registration offices, registry offices, municipal registration and notary offices, municipal and communal administrations, as provided for in article 7 of Law no. 23/20 of 10 June, Law on the Special Regime for the Justification of Deaths, or via email cavicop@minjusdh.gov.ao".

According to the note, through the same email, "can be presented requests for the return of mortal remains of deceased family members".

Family members who "have submitted applications for death certificates at the Arena Center must carry out a survey of the certificates at the same location, tomorrow, December 31."

After that date, the certificates requested at the center can be collected at the secretariat of the Commission for Inquiry and Certification of Deaths of Victims of Political Conflicts, located in Complexo Classicoes do Talatona, on the 3rd building, 1st floor.
