Minister of Justice and Human Rights encourages colleagues affected by covid-19

The Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Francisco Queiroz, sent a message of solidarity to “all colleagues who were affected by covid-19”.

"It is a difficult phase that they are going through and the great family of justice needs to be, as always, all united", said Queiroz.

According to the minister, colleagues affected by the new coronavirus need the strength, support and encouragement "to overcome these particularly difficult moments in their lives".

"I hope you all have a quick recovery. Be patient in the treatments, comply with medical indications and as soon as possible, return to our community again, in the performance of your work activities", said the minister in his message.

Angola has registered its fourth wave of covid-19 since the second half of this month, with confirmed circulation of the Ómicron variant, and health authorities are concerned about the exponential increase in cases, reaching four digits for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic. .

On Tuesday, the record of cases was announced, with the registration of 3090 confirmed cases, with the number of reported cases in the last 24 hours of 1688 positive cases, four deaths and 78 recovered from the disease.

At this time, the country has a cumulative 78,475 cases, 1760 deaths and 64,124 recovered from the disease, with 12,591 active cases, of which seven in critical condition, 28 severe, 79 moderate, 83 mild and 12,394 asymptomatic.

The health minister said on Monday, the day she started a massive testing campaign in Luanda, the focus of the disease, that entire families are infected with the new coronavirus.

Covid-19 has caused more than 5.41 million deaths worldwide since the start of the pandemic, according to the latest report by Agence France-Presse.
