The companies in question are Cyto, Sócia, Anda, Aro-Tec, Ecoselecta, 5-Linhas and Kubinga, which, according to Angop, received prior training with the support of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), linked to the World Bank, to find your business model.
Thus, according to Bráulio Augusto, executive director of the National Institute of Support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), the seven startups, which are in the initial 'Alpha' stage, operate in the finance, sustainability, urban mobility and e-commerce. Furthermore, at the conference, Angola will also have representation in the fields of robotics and technology.
In statements during a press conference, cited by Angop, the executive administrator of INAPEM said that the country's presence at the event aims to provide an immersive experience for the aforementioned national startups, in order to be able to learn and establish connections with other entrepreneurs, investors and global leaders, with the intention of contributing to the diversification of the national economy and its evolution as a reference in technology and innovation on the African continent.
Regarding expectations, the executive said that this participation is expected to result in new strategic partnerships and international connections to boost the national entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Quoted by Angop, he reiterated INAPEM's constant support for these companies and national entrepreneurs in general.
Held since 2009, the Web Summit has been one of the most significant global events in the field of technology, entrepreneurship and innovation, with more than 3000 startups expected to participate in this year's edition.
