The gold medal was awarded to the 'Geostratos' project, according to a brief statement from the Gianni Gaspar Martins Foundation, to which VerAngola had access.
"Of the 12 medals that Angola won in this 75th edition of the fair, the only gold medal went to Geostratos", reads the note, which adds: "Our geotourism and conservation initiatives for Angola's geological heritage and their relationship were presented with the application of technology to develop tourist routes with virtual reality and didactic content with augmented reality, in addition to being together composing the list of UNESCO geoparks for Angola".
In addition to the 'Geostratos' project, the 'E-Waste – Waste Management System'; 'Hope – a form of social inclusion'; 'Multimodal Interface for Smart Wheelchair Control and Home Automation' and 'Multifunctional Walking Stick for the Disabled' projects were also awarded medals.
'Ecological Christmas tree', 'Namibe's technological ecosystem', 'Namibe's technological ecosystem - Thinking oceans', 'Polang Chat - Multilingual conversation', 'Sustainable public lighting project' and 'Live More - Preserve life, donate blood' are also part of the list of projects that received medals, writes Angop.
It is worth remembering that, in the previous edition, held last year, the country won a total of 19 medals, three of which were gold, six silver and the remaining 10 bronze.
