The information was given by Filipe Santos, head of the company Imomucua, who also highlighted the promotion of jobs: the aforementioned enterprise is expected to generate 12 direct jobs and hundreds of indirect jobs, with the aim of strengthening the production capacity of coffee farmers, as well as increasing the amount of coffee processed for sale.

The head of Imomucua, speaking to Angop, explained that the venture is based on the action of coffee growers from Amboim, Conda, Seles and Quilenda, to begin processing 120 tons of commercial coffee per month as soon as the first of the three implementation stages is completed.

According to Filipe Santos, it is in these regions where Amboim Robusta coffee is sourced, "and this will be the process that will supply" the factory that could be completed at the end of this year: "It is in these regions where we extract Amboim Robusta coffee and this will be the process that will supply the unit that could be completed at the end of this year, when commercial coffee processing trials will be carried out".

Filipe Santos said that they intend to ensure that the "transformation of coffee in the municipality of Amboim", based on the different stages of "its value chain, from next year, is carried out on a larger scale", with the start-up of this manufacturing unit.

"We intend to ensure that the transformation of coffee in the municipality of Amboim, based on the different phases of its value chain, from next year onwards, will be carried out on a larger scale, with the entry into operation of this hulling and processing unit", said the person responsible to Angop.

In addition, the project also includes the construction of different work zones, such as a laboratory, administration area and training room for coffee producers.

The official also highlighted the importance of the Government maintaining the development of strategies to encourage coffee production, especially in that region, in which excellence led to the implementation of the enterprise in Amboim.
