According to Angop, this, which is the fourth line of the manufacturing unit, was inaugurated this Thursday by the hands of the municipal administrator of Icolo and Bengo, Isabel Nicolau dos Santos.
The new filling line – which is completely automatic and in which nine million dollars were invested – will join the other three already existing, which operated manually in filling five-liter plastic bottles, as well as 33 and 50 centiliters.
The company, according to Angop, has a turnover estimated at around one million dollars, intending to reach, with the start of the new line, five billion kwanzas in a year, the return of which is expected within five years.
According to Ana Fortunato, non-executive administrator of the factory, human involvement in the new line is practically non-existent, as the machinery is responsible for carrying out almost everything. However, moving forward, they are in the process of hiring people with secondary education and graduates, with the ability to provide technical and technological support.
"This new line will produce two formats, 33 and 500 milliliters, which saw their print runs reduced due to the incapacity of the old line", said the person in charge, cited by Angop.
Ana Fortunato also said that the company intends to expand sales in the provinces, such as Luanda and Benguela, as well as having its eyes set on exports.
"We also want to export to countries bordering Angola, such as Congo and Zambia", said the person in charge, also considering that the launch of this new line is an advantage, as it has provided more jobs for local young people.
In existence since 2003, the factory is located in the municipality of Bom Jesus. According to Angop, the company employs 57 people, with other candidates being trained.
