João Lourenço referred that this triumph expresses that, at continental level, the national team is the most dedicated and has deserved the most, writes Angop.
Speaking on the occasion – which paid homage to the players, as well as to the technical team and members of the Angolan Handball Federation –, the head of state also said that they were committed to "continuing to provide all necessary support" in order to ensure "future victories".
"We are committed to continuing to provide all the necessary support, with a view to guaranteeing future victories that we are sure will come", he said, cited by Angop.
He also said that the investment made in this sport has generated a good return, which will make the Executive continue to invest.
"We would like other sports to follow your example, because it is possible, as long as there is work," he said, quoted by Angop.
Remember that Angola was crowned CAN champion on the 19th of November, by winning the final against Cameroon.
