1.º de Agosto regrets debt imposed by CAF due to the bad state of the grass

1.º de Agosto regretted the fine of 3,000 dollars, imposed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), due to the bad state of the turf of the 11 de Novembro Stadium, in the reception of the Egyptians of Future FC.

:

In a statement, he said he was being punished through no fault of his own, as the maintenance and treatment of the turf is not his responsibility, as he pays the stadium rental, for national and international competitions, to the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

However, he promised to pay the fine within seven days, as directed by CAF, in order to avoid further damage, but assured that, later, he will request the return of that amount.

In recent months, the grass of the largest sports infrastructure in Angola has lost its green color, due to the lack of drinking water inside the aforementioned sports venue. As a result, the lawn has not been watered, as justified this week by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Last week, 1.º de Agosto drew 1-1 with Future FC, in the first leg of the play-offs to access the group stage of the CAF Cup.

The second leg is scheduled for Wednesday in Cairo.
