Florbela Malaquias, leader of the Humanist Party of Angola, Joel Leonardo, president of the Supreme Court, and Benedito Daniel, president of the PRS also marked the day.
Cited by Angop, Florbela Malaquias appealed to citizens to continue their search for "ideals of independence". Joel Leonardo passed on a word of peace and hope for the future, while Benedito Daniel considered that "nothing is more important for a people than their freedom".
