"Despite the adverse effects of the drought in January and February, which reduced sugarcane productivity, we are satisfied with the results obtained in the 2021 campaign, especially as we continued to supply 40 percent of sugar to the national market and with that we contributed so that the price of this product had remained stable and protected from the speculation that the fluctuations verified in the international markets end up causing", he affirmed.

He also stated that price stability "benefits the entire population and encourages us to reinforce investment and to produce more and more and with more quality".

Regarding plans for next year, Uirá Ribeiro indicated that they intend to increase production: "In 2022, we intend to increase production, with a view to making the most of our production capacity".
