Mundial2022: coach Pedro Gonçalves recognizes difficulties facing Egypt

The national coach, Portuguese Pedro Gonçalves, acknowledged this Thursday at a press conference, in Luanda, that the match against Egypt, for qualification for the 2022 World Cup, will be very difficult.


Pedro Gonçalves highlighted the individualities of the Egyptian team, with emphasis on the Liverpool English striker, Mohamed Salah.

"It's a tough opponent. It's the most highly rated team in Africa, with the most title, it has many talents. It has the player I consider the best in the world today. What we pass on to our players is the belief in our potential, as we believe in in our qualities", he referred.

Torreense striker Mateus Galiano, who says goodbye to the Angolan national team, said it was a very special game for him.

"It's a very special game for me because it's the last game I play on Angolan soil for our national team. I think I leave the national team with the feeling of a legacy well passed, because when I hear the youngsters say that at the national level they want to reach the goal. performance I achieved, that makes me very happy" he said.

Domingos Andrade, who is wearing the national team jersey for the first time, said that he faces the game against Egypt in a positive way, while promising to give his best if he is called to the game by Pedro Gonçalves.

The match between Angola and Egypt, starting at 20:00, will be played this Friday at the stadium 11 de Novembro, in Luanda, counting for the fifth round of the Group F.
